Somewhere in My Youth and Childhood

When growing up, my two favorite musicals were Peter Pan and The Sound of Music. One ignited my imagination with the wonder of magic and the other opened my eyes to beauty and exquisite possibility. Relationship Boost!

Attention Boomers!

Easy Love Notes

Whether you are in a newly formed relationship or been in a long-lived one, keep in mind every couple can use a little ‘relationship rejuvenation‘ once in a while.

We all get a little ‘lazy’ with this relationship nurturing stuff. I don’t know why…we’re pretty good about it during the ‘fresh bloom’ of love, but as the years pass, there seems to be a tendency to over-look the simple, easy ways to fan the flames to keep the home fires lighted.

Fanning the Flames

Flowers, candy, hugs, kisses on the back of the neck, holding hands, sharing a cup of coffee/tea or glass of wine while watching the sun rise or sun set are good little practices to RE-IMPLEMENT if you have let them go for a while.

Here’s a simple but sweet way to boost your relationship meter to the positive for us boomers. On your next vacation or marriage seminar week-end, tuck a red glass heart in the suitcase- pocket-shaving kit or make-up bag of the traveling companion you LOVE to surprise him/her! Then trade off hiding it for one another during the trip!

Hide and Seek

Hide A Heart is a fun and romantic game that is budget and eco-friendly because you only buy the heart once to create an easy love note to hide again and again to ‘keep the home fires blazing’…well maybe not blazing, but at least lighted!

Be sure to check out Michelle’s cute story about playing Hide A Heart with her husband of twenty-six years.

C’mon, share your suggestions for relationship boosts in the comment area.

XOXO
