I have an addiction to Irish Crochet. Every new pattern I see on Pinterest, I want to rise to the challenge of making…..but I cannot understand French!
I did quasi-understand the ch 4 and then join; then sc 8 into the circle, increase to 16 and then 24 and sc 5 rows of 24. Then increase to 36 stitches. After that, I was L-O-S-T!
If you are a return reader, you know that I belong to an OUTLANDER Stitchenach’s group on Facebook. Our members are a treasure trove of ideas, tutorial and support.
So, after struggling to understand and trying various stitch combinations for the scalloped edge, I put an APB (all point’s bulletin) on the Stitchenachs page asking if someone could translate it and that I would thank them with a finished motif.
When I awoke the next morning……Voila!
The stem and leaf pattern is for you to decide.
